I have had a good look around the new purchase and done a few bits to it.

Bad bits.

• I had the carb off and checked it all out. No blocked jets but plenty of wear here and there, so I have a Weber on the way to replace it.
• There is a noisy valve in No 4 position. I don't know if it is inlet or exhaust.
• The clutch is very noisy when engaged and the box is in neutral. Noise goes when the clutch pedal is pressed.
• The brake master cylinder needs new seals.
• I have no charge light on the dash. Two wires hanging off the alternator and the battery has gone flat on me.

Good Bits.

• Nice seats.
• Leather steering wheel cover LOL
• 2" Shackle lift.
• Extended props for above.
• Free-wheeling hubs.
• Nice offset 8 spokes with big chunky Technic Trackers.
• Custom high mounted rear bumper.
• All solid body (apart from the sills and osf wing).
• All the lights work!!!!

Got my Weber carb in the mail yesterday. Well I would have if the postie hadn't knocked the door, run like a whippet and driven off before I got the front door open. I had to collect it from the post office this afternoon.

I am going to have a go at making my own adaptor plate. It looks straight forward enough. I reckon I can do it with a pillar drill and taps/dies.
The only problem is I also got a modified inlet manifold that will take an SU carb, so I am spoilt for choice at the moment. They reckon that the SU carb is the better converson as it doesn't flood when going over bumps and climbing/descending at over 45 degrees, but the fuel pump needs to be tip-top.

The short answer is that it may be a little while. It'll be worth it in the end.

I am having problems sourcing a brake master cylinder repair kit, so I was thinking of getting an anchor!!!!!

i saw this on ebay i dont know if he will have anything you need for your brakes

I cant find a repair kit either and no one seems to sell seals. the fluid has stripped the inside of the wing quite nicely too

this guy on ebay is a breaker and he has the SUZUKI SJ BRAKE SERVO/MASTER CYLINDER FITS ALL i hope this will be of some help to either of you

i found out a price down here for a new unit and it was £140.00 so at least you got an idea of how much a new 1 will cost
