For a while, now, I've fancied re locating the spare wheel to sit further up,out of harms way and at an angle in line with the back window. After some cutting, and mocking things up, I popped round to a mate who did the welding, strengthening and some re profiling. there's plenty room and clearance, now, even for when I finally get a visit from the 35's fairy. Hope the pics help to explain.

No, sorry...I meant the way those style of winch bumpers go from chunky to being thin on the edges.
Seems to be a common design so I was thinking there might be a practical reason.
Would rather have one that was straight, for my personal tastes.
