  • How big is your 2"s?

I'm trying to work out whether my truck was previously lifted or not.
When I got her I added new springs as the back was sagging 2" lower than the front.

Fitted new 2"+ springs from Roughtracks and bought it up to same height as front. All good.

Now I've just fitted 265 75 16 tyres with more offset rims and I'm unsure if the truck was previously lifted and the springs sagged or Roughtrax sent me standard height springs.

The height from centre of wheel to wheel arch is 21" on left and 22" on right. is this about right for a 2" lift?

He never asked about a body lift, he wants to know if roughtrax +2" springs give the measurements he has quoted.

Don't forget that a Roughtrax "+2inch" kit isn't really +2" - it works out more like an inch and a half tops

What about this for a crazy thought.

Lets wait for someone who has a +2" roughtrax springs fitted and hopefully a tape rule. If they then have the ability to use the tape measure, the original OP will get the answer he asked.

After all this is in the modification section, keep the drivel for the general playground.

Dont know if this is any use but my surf is standard and i get 19 1/2" at the rear and 21" at the front. I measured from the wheel centre to the arch. My side steps measure equal front and back to the floor so i think the truck actually sits level.

                      Thanks Lawsey.

Let me know how high it sits when you finish the total lift. (Guess it will be +4")

Well depends on how we go, his, like mine was, has a saggy rear, so the +2" gave about 3" lift, 2" extra and an inch corrected..

then the fronts will be how far we wind his torsion bars on..

mines currently sitting just over 7" higher than it was when i bought it at the rear due to the setting and tyres now

From centre of rear wheel to top of arch

Start of the day 19.5" then with 50mm body lift fitted, and roughtrax +2" springs n shocks finished height on rear was 24" from centre to arch..

Really long day, but looks great..

                          Went from this

via this (squared up to mine and his wheels look tiny)

                          to this

                          more pics if interested here

Can see why it needed lifting now...did not fit under the arm what so ever.
Looks much more comfortable now. No more bad back.

Guess mine was already lifted before I got it. Shame the first set of uprated 2"+ springs sagged 2". I wonder how long the new ones will last?

Thanks for the info. Think I'll be doing the body lift now. Reading this forum costs me a fortune
