  • 3rd gen lift

Completed my front end lift saturday, tested on a very severe greenlane plus "normal" roads, all working 100% very pleased. attempting to post pics with some explanation now....
1st pic is of the alley spacers..
2nd pic is of the converted top mount, high tensile bolts
3rd pic is the assembled leg ready to fit back on vehicle
4th pic is the truck after settling
hope that makes sense and the pics work!

Did you turn the spacers yourself or buy them in?

        looks good.

f you don't mind me asking, how much did having the spacers made cost, did you do the mod to the top mount yourself & how are you lifting the rear (spacers as well or LC springs/shocks).

        cheers

i have only just got the vehicle so i cant tell you much but it was high at the back and low at the front, I have a invoice from r/t dated july07 for front coilsprings 2"lifted and rear gas shocks, now i have done the front end its really high and has more than enough ground clearance for even the most severe greenlane[not into "proper 4x4 sites"] being critical it now looks just a smidge lower at the rear and if i want to raise that i will space out the rear spring lower mounting plate with a 1" thick piece of box section, saying that it is so minimal that i probably wont bother, i am running 265 75 16 general a/t which give really good rear diff clearance, the mystery is how come a pair of 2" lifted front coils are giving the vehicle a lower stance, but at the end of the day whatever the springs are on any vehicle it will raise the front by however thick the spacers are. i did the top mount mod myself using the existing one. hope that helps, kirk
