I'm pretty sure TonyN has done it as well. Also it's a really common swap in the US and lots of companies over the other side of the pond do kits with the weld on spring mount, etc. Have a look on www.Yotatech.com for some ideas.

3rd gens have a center diff which means that it can be run in fwd on roads therefore live SAS it as the pic above a totally different concept as it is done for articulation not for grip ......if grip is wanted lockers are the way forward

Bear in mind.. With more articulation you're more likely to keep your wheels on the ground an removing the chance of the diff slipping and losing traction..

In an Ideal world.. an offroad truck would have solid axles on coil springs with a full set of lockers..

OP - Check out www.yotatech.com they've done soo many more solid axle swaps!

www.supertrux.co.uk or .com sell a Trail gear SAS kit.. which has spring hangers an some other random bits an bobs for fitting a solid front axle.

check out trail-gear as their kit comes with much more for less and they make rhd high steer kit as well, or there is allpro off road, marlin crawler, or if u want links try polyperformance for their universal 3link kit but you will need coils or coilovers or air shocks etc. , hope that helps. im saving for a trail-gear kit and a diamond (toyota style) axle housing with 5.29's right now
                        mmmmmm....... muuud

and remember that Americans call Surf sized trucks Mini's - so look up any projects by that name
