  • sliders..

1st project, gonna have a shot at making some rock sliders.

I have some 30x50mm box section (3mm wall) for the runners and was thinking 30mm square (3mm again) for the outriggers, (x4)off welded direct to the chassis.

not too sure about the final strength, any ideas..??

Mine are just one in box hidden under the ally steps and they hold the full weight, outriggers are welded to the chassis in several places.

sounds similar to my plan..have you used them to jack it up, how many outriggers are there and if you can be RS'd to look, what section are the outriggers (50x50 etc)

wouldnt want them to give way if and when i have to crawl under and its up on a high lift

these are the ones i make,i started off fabbing up sets of the 1st gen sliders, but a few inches shorter, never had any comlaints back about them yet.and these ones are the current ones same principle just slightly different design, made from 50x50x3mm box section.welded onto chassis in three places.
