  • Suspension lift 3" or 4"

    I have a 2nd gen 2.4 surf.It is standard apart from 1 1/2" body lift.

I plan to do a suspension lift soon and want to start getting parts together.

I was thinking of 1 1/2 inch ball joint spacers and adjusting the torsion bars by 1 1/2 " at the front, and using landcruiser coils a the rear.

Just a few questions if you dont mind pointing me in the right direction...

Which Landcruiser springs and how much lift do they give,im under the impression its 3"?

Will standard torsion bars be ok?

Where will i get shocks from now,as i understand procomp have gone under, and will i need +3 or +4 ones?

    Do arb's need modifying?

Will this be enough to fit 33" tyres on?

    Thankyou before hand...Jim

          Thanks...

Thanks for answering my questions TonyN and surfenstein...

Just wanted to make sure i had the right info.I will also need to extend the brake pipes.

One last question for now.I have 8x15" alloys on.Will 33 12.50 tyres fit on them ok,as im not sure whether to go for 10" wide modulars yet?

Sorry about the questions, but new to 4x4 stuff,im use to messing round with my old beemer...
