Been reading the threads about these and fancy a bit more cheap articuation. Did anyone make their own just using the tube and R-clip method or is anyone selling fabbed ones? Stein? Anyone?

Dammit!
Me and Spanners came up with a similar solution to the posted disconnect idea.
Is it 'cut one drop link, and sleeve it with tube, using a pin to hold tube in place'?
now I'm on BFG ATs with their softer sidewall than my previous tyres, the missing front ARB is more noticeable. I was thinking of re-bushing the front ARB with the ProComp kit and making a disconnect, and refitting it.
Mind you, my tyres should last longer with the current 'no arbs' setup as I go VERY slowly round roundabouts!Cutting steps in the roof of the world
