i have had a set on my company van and the last surf i had, there again in N wales its ok to do as you like, anything goes apart from SPEEDING.
i wouldnt park up and leave them on or follow a copper with them on, they are hardly visible when main lights are on, as to the legality of them im not sure but seen loads of cars with blue or green sidelights as far i know its legal unless they are red
quick question. The bar that you put your spots on, where did you get that from.
I have a P reg 3rd gen and want to do exactly the same thing as you have done but havent been able to get my head around the light bar. Does it have a seperate body panel covering the bar? If so, do you know where I can order what I need in the UK?

As far as the legality is you can have blue lights as long as they dont flash.
and you are alowed red lights as long as you cannot see the bulb, only the red glow. this generaly means neon kits and such like.
if you desperatly wanted you could have an exact copy of a cop car but you cant have flashing lights or the actual word Police . . . . or Polite lol aparently

thats a relief, as i have been carefull not to park up and leave the side lights on, or drive with just the side lights.
news to me lol, comin from boy racer cars i soon found on front legally only allowed yellow white or orange, any glow of any other colour is classed as a "distraction!" tbh tho so many cars areound now with xenon etc the only thing police worry bout is neon/under car leds....................trust me lolol

oh cmon how many artics are on the road with loads of blue lights.
my g/f's brother got pulled over for his red windscreen squirters and so he asken them about blue ones. That is Exactly what he was told By the Police, they do pick on people but its $$$$$$$$ and they cant realy do anything about it
I know its a few weeks old this post but a few months ago I got pulled by the traffic cops for having blue side lights. They said blue lights can only be used for emergency vehicles and you can only use white or amber lights on the front of your motor and red and amber and on the rear except white for reversing. They read me my rights but then couldnt continue because the offence did not have a code on there list of offences. So you may ask is it an offence?
