took the back box off on the weekend as it fell apart over the axle like my previous one
cut and joined a bit from a transit earlier and it looks like this! probably only a tempory measure (sliders might have issues) but I think it looks ok.
I think I might cut the end off and put a tip on it so I dont gas all the cyclists

Cool, thats where mine used to exit. Bibs has it on her truck now!

Do you notice the turbo spooling up and down more now? I did.

yep but it was even louder when it finished after the flexi until today
throttle response is better now too! others at work thought I was driving a plane with the turbo noise

          Hehe!! great innit!

If you get the revs right, and a long enough gap in the traffic you can keep the whistling going constantly.

I did mine with a bit from a Transit exhaust but it exits just after the rear wheel. Mine is much perkier without the back box. I did try straight through but I couldn't stand the turbo whistle all the time.
            It's only a hobby!

Does it effect it at MOT time? i altered mine as the bit over the axle rotted away, made a bit out of alloy tube but it's cracked, have ya done away with your silencer?

Nope. As long as the noise level is acceptable, the emissions are within spec and the system is complete with no leaks, they can't fail it.

What parts from a transit exhaust did you use? Did you have to make any parts yourself? Looking at doing a mod like this as I'm already on exhaust number 2 and that's not going to last long as I keep landing on it and squashing the end piece.

just the end that curves at 90 degrees with a flick on the end. I cut it off and joined to the join on the surf backbox so it can connect to the flexi pipe join.
not sure how well placed it is for offroading yet but I think ill need to cut the end and angle it down as when the surf gets a smoke on I can see out my left mirror much

Go down to your nearest sc rapyard, they normally let you have exhaust sections for nowt!
