  • My winch bumper

    Well started it today at lunch time,got the brackets done and the basic frame done.................well it is a start.

    Base of winch will be about 29" off ground and top of winch will be at bottom of badge so that should still let some air through!!! Has to stick out
    180mm/220mm. So far so good. Going to put angled bits down towards recovery hooks as well from front of winch platform thingy.

    Looking good Smiffy,
    Isn`t it satisfying working with steel. Specially when the steel is cheap and the cost of a winch-bumper is not!

      Looking good there smiffy! not even started mine yet gonna do mi body lift first, keep us posted on that mate! im going down a diffrent route though i think, as long as i can get the steel im wanting!!

      think yours will be the same height if not higher than mine is at the moment.

        Got my front support angles done and my recovery hook plates done today Gettin there slowly but surely I'm taking note of sizes and stuff so when finished,if anyones interested they can have a copy.

            I'm doing them as i go Ian Been takin pictures then putting them on photo draw and sticking dimensions onto them. better than putting my sketches on. Just got one pic to finish,then i'll post them up,to the current stage. See if they're clear enough to understand.

                  Measurements on work done so far. Think at the end of project i'll delete this thread and do one with every detail in order. Hope these make sense.
