Done the 2" lift OK, with the blocks Vatchman kindly supplied me, hardest part was cutting em down to 2" as they were 4" to start with, tough stuff that, especially as i did em on a hand mitre saw! my question is what did you guys do about the steering shaft? i loosened both clamps and have the usual
1/2" gap on the splines, now im not sure if it would be best to have 1/4" either end or 1/2" on one of em, also the splines have a groove in em to take the bolts which have a shoulder on em that sits in this groove, with all the gap at the top it looks like there's only about 1/2" of spline left in the clamp,
dont really fancy the steering depending on only this bit so what did you guys do? also did you replace the bolts with slightly thinner ones as when i tried to wind one of the originals in its fouling on the splines and gonna bugger the thread,
