  • installing racing pedals

    1) first take off the exsiting rubber pedals there is only 2 the brake and the clutch,

    2) using a square make a centre line on the clutch, aline the new pedal to it. line it up with the centre line you have marked and make a mark of both the holes. on the brake you do the same but you have to offset it (to the left or to the right is your choice) because the brace of of the pedal is in the middle. only offset it by 10 mm.

    3) using a 4mm drill bit as a pilot, drill the holes on both pedals. then using an 8mm drill bit drill again for bolt to go through.

    4) fix both brake an clutch pedals, using bolts and nuts provided.

    5) accelerator is tricky you need to remove the hole pedal, turn it over and push out the tube holding the pedal on. once the pedal is off, using the square make a straight line down the middle (offset it to the right as the bar runs from top right to the middle of the bottom). drill the holes(same as the other pedals). now you will need to turn the pedal over to cut of some of the ribs on the back, in order for nuts to sit flush on the back.

    6) fit accelerator pedal to existing one, bolt the 2 pedals together, refit pedal to brace. and refit brace back to surf.

    7) job done

i used to have a set of huge ally ones on a rs turbo escort.

got pulled over by the police (i was only 19) he went all over the car and asked me why the pedals were so big, told him 'so i can hit the loud pedal when im $$$$ed'........

all in all not the best move i ever made....

but i might get a set when im in the states later this year, nice job, ya boy racer!
