  • Vents n fans

Got em on and working today, wired to the batt for a test and piccy's, also ran a 15 wire harness through and up into the roof console (to save me keep havein to run the odd wire every time i add something), The window side trim is bulgeing now! I'll get em wired to a switch properly tomorrow, Just in time it seems as it's about to get hotter, Gonna try and do the a/c fan switch as well then she can really chill out Managed to fix the vents from underneath Matt with some alloy braces and brackets, (i'll add a pic tomorrow, forgot!) Those look lovely, Ian. Very nice job. Glad to hear you got the
mountings sorted okay. That nickel plating has given them a
really nice finish. Top job. You do know I'm gonna' have to do
something with mine, now. You and Vince are making me feel
        inadequate.

hehehe!! they look sooooo cool especially with the blue illumination.
I expect you'll have a big gathering of spotty baseball cap wearers around your truck pointing and scratching their chins wondering what the latest tuning mod to come from japan, is.
You may even start a trend Ian.

Cheer's guy's, I dont mind the baseball scroats as long as plod dose'nt take an interest, i'll be switchin em off every time i see a police car! Just wish i'd taken a lot more of em from the skip when i had the chance, could have distrubuted em among the forum, Yeah the nickle finish aint as bright as chrome but it fits in better with the stainless, I finished the join with black
silicon after tapeing em up, could'nt think of anything else to use, Joker! next
job is an led rolling destination board (like the busses ) i ate you butler,
My wife says the truck is compensating for my lack of adequacy, bl00dy cheek after i provided her with four children and everything she's never wanded,

Not that I'm trying to encourage your LED fetish, Ian, , but just
thought of another thing I've been hoarding which might be up
your street. Computer case spares again, those plastic/perspex
rods with the bubbles in which go up the front sides of computer
case front panels with the LED's in each end to give a diffused
light along their length. Got some of those, as well.

                        Doesn't look too bad.

Only thing I'd say however is that I hope you have some way to turn the blue LEDs off whilst driving. Otherwise you will attract more attention from the boys in blue than you want.

Yes mate there on a switch in case although there are loads of those led washer jet things around, they seem to get away with it,
Hey Matt those rods sound interesting! let me know what you want for em and post etc, cheers
Got em wired to a switch and also the A/C fan which works fine and then spent the afternoon pulling my hair out trying to fit an led indictor on the A/C fan switch, Which ever way i do it all i can get is fan on -light out , fan off -light on, My son brought these switches home ages ago (pic) they have four conns on back and by supply to one and load to the other- switches ok the other two cons dont seem to be fed through the switch and it seemed it was two switches in one if you know what i mean, so i thought i could use the other cons for the indicator light but whichever way round i did it i cant get the light on with the fan on, Give up in the end and now the light comes on with ign and goes out when the fan is switched on, Not that i need a light to know the fan is running as it makes quite a din, these switches by the way are mains (industrial) so no knowing what switching is going on, ian

Ian, PM me your address and I'll get you some posted off.

Those switches should be single throw double pole. The four
connectors on the rear are two seperate sets of contacts.
Should be left/left, right/right. Use one set for switching the
fan, the other set for supplying 12V to the LED.

                            BTW, those look stonkingly good.

Sorry for the drawing being so cr*ppy. The image shows the
standard arrangement for a single throw double pole switch.
Left side is a diagram, right side is what the rear of the switch
probably looks like. The arrows show which connections should
make to each other when you throw the switch.
