    mornin' all

I've noticed that in all the 2nd gens I've looked at, they have dinky little marker lights in the doors (I assume so that no one crashes into the open doors at night).

My 3rd gen hasn't got these and I wondered if anyone knew if they are an option on the 3rd gen as I really like the look.

I tried Toyota but got nowhere "without a chassis number" gave tham mine but nothing doing which makes me think they aren't even a option

I know 2nd gen one's won't fit & look right as they are moulded to fit into the door trim panel but if anyone knows a decent firm that suplies general ones I would be a friend for life.

sorry pal, didn't mean to dis the 1st gen it just that I've never seen one near me so didn't know they had 'em.

Would 1st gen ones fit a 3rd gen?? or are they moulded to the door card like 2nd gen's

i was only joking chap, the lights are moulded to shape at the bottom but are screw in. i don't know whether they'd be a match for the 3rd gens but i'd seriously doubt it and even if they were, finding some would be like searching for the holy grail i'd imagine.

i wouldn't have thought it 'd be too hard to find some sort of lighting to go in there and wire it up to the other interior light that comes on when you open the doors.

what about a look in halfords or something? i don't know what sort of light bling they do but may be worth a look.

Try the LED side marker lights. they are a slimline surface mount I think so you wouldnt need to cut a hole in your door with a bit of luck

            RESULT

Spent a lovely couple of hours at the s$$$$py this weekend and am now the proud owner of 4 marker lights from a ford galaxy. Cost £8.00 for the 4!

They are slim & flush fit & having popped of the front door cards for a look (didn't have time to look at the rears yet) looks like I won't have to chop any metal.

Also treated myself to a diggie camera so when fitted will try to post piccies

once again, thanks for all your help chaps
