  • Stereo fitting.

Hi all, just got me new '92 Surf and needed to change the stereo and ive read a few nightmares about fitting new ones so hopefully this might help. I got a JVC thinking that as its a Jap make it should fit with no probs, i also got a fitting adapter of Ebay
    http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.d...565036241&rd=1

Both fitted like a dream, the stereo screws into the cage same as the original and the adapter plugs straight in, no cutting of wires needed. The only problem i had was the removal/refitting of the dash. Hope this helps...

    Hi

I got a loom-to-loom adaptor from Halfrauds at £12, but later found several places with ease flogging them at the same price as the ebay ones (less the postage).

Mine went in a doddle too
And some that smile have in their hearts, I fear, millions of mischiefs

Or you could buy the wiring adapter from the forum shop and help support the site

fitted my sony CD into the pickup last night.. what a c***!!

theres some metal framing which makes it about 3mm too tight, ended up wedging it in without the cage. buggered if i know how i`m gunna liberate it when i need to get to the plugs for the screens/dvd/amp!
