At present I have 4 x 16" abia sport wheels on my surf and a normal 15" alloy as my spare but I would rather have 5 wheels the same. With my 2" suspension lift what is the max size of wheels and tyres that can be safely fitted (without hindering my turning) and also where is the best place to buy, once again thanks for any advice given

Not sure what metric sizes there are, but 7x15's and 31's are the safely the max. you could run 8" wheels, and 32's but they come up in different sizes, some rub and some don't. but you have to get the right offset or they'll definatly rub.
2" of lift isn't enough for bigger tyres, you won't notice much daily driving, but if you're offroading bigger tyres will rub on the front alot.4x4toys.co.uk - Keeping you on and off the road...

I have bought a couple of sets of wheels/tyres from Nene Valley off road:
http://www.4x4tyres.co.uk/
Terrible website with no prices or useful information but if you call them up they are usually very helpful and will be able to advise you on the correct sizes/offsets etc. Also good prices, especially on a set of 4 or 5 wheels/tyres.
Also see: http://www.bronco4x4.com/ much better website with prices for most wheels/tyres.No longer a Surf owner.
