    Hi can any one answer my question? Is the clyinder head on a 2.4 LN 130 engine prone for cracking and blowing.
    Mine has just gone I was told that Surfs are renouned for this.
    The wheels on my Surf go round and round

    Not renouned but there was a batch of badly designed heads on some early models, not heard of one past 93 going.
    Make sure you get a NEW head if replacing it, not stitched, recon etc.

    Current poll shows around 18% have suffered from head trouble.

      Nigel due to the latest heads going i dont think this is any longer accurate as people have said no head problems like myself but it did go 18 months into owning it

        Thanks for your reply just got a price off a garage to do the job £1600
        for a compleat new top end

          you may find it cheaper to source the head yourself and get a quote for fitting.
