  • Front Wheel Bearings

    Gentlefolk,

Got the inner and outer wheel bearings, seals, washers and nuts from Milners.

I know that I need some grease and a box spanner (?) to get the nuts off.

So where can I get a 54/55mm box spanner from?

Grease as per the servcing sticky...
Wheel bearings....Lithium base wheel bearing grease NLGI No.2

    Many thanks, andyL

Most car factors will have one, but you need a deep one which is sometimes tricky, to be honest its easier to knock them off with a hammer and cheisel/old screwdriver, most have already been done like this before and you can use the old holes to do it again.

Just clean off any burrs before putting the nuts back on.

      Thanks TonyN,

just wanted to have all the bits in place before I start stripping it down.

Cromwell tools will most likely sell them. Have a large range of spanners sockets etc. There's a depot in Portsmouth, but they do deliver as well, usually next day.

Got all my grease etc from there.
