  • Injector Life

    Hello All,

All you clever feckers out there, what is the expected lifetime of the injectors?

I have tried everything to get my Surf to average over 400km to a tank to no avail.

I am tempted to change the injectors just to see, but how long are they expected to last????

    Rich.

Linda's 3.0 were badly worn after 70,000 miles. Still ran fine, but rubbish spray pattern. Much better MPG now.

Cheers Tony, where did you get the injectors from?

      Are they easy to do?

I had them rebuilt in Hoddesdon by Wade Diesels, the nozzles were no trouble to get, but one body was knackered and they had trouble getting hold of one and it was expensive.

Paid £200 for 4 new nozzles, 1 new body, seals, etc and rebuilt/setup. There was a thread on here the other day from someone who had theres done somewhere in Poole, and seemed cheaper.
