I just bought a reconditioned engined 4-Runner. New Head, rad, thermostat. It was driving fine with the oil pressure doing what was expected.
I was driving at "motorway speeds" on th M6 today and it was perfect, held a good temperature and oil pressure. Next thing the temperature pops up, oil pressure goes down, so I slow down, temp settles, but the oil sits very very low and never recovers.
I also suspect the turbo is not working, no light, but there is no boost of any kind either.
There is more worryingly a tapping noise in the head area.
I know nothing about the KZ-T engine yet.
Any clues for me?
