Park it in gear

The handbrakes u/s again , which doesn't normally bother me . It's a fairly regular occurance after a bit of mud-plugging.
Normally I just park it in gear anyway.
I did this today & walked away only to look back & see the surf rolling very very slowly backwards.
Investigating I found that parking in gear would not guarantee the surf would not move.
Does this indicate wear somewhere ??

I am guessing it is a manual, the clutch might be slipping or it maybe that the weight of the surf is enough to turn the engine over (I would be surprised)

My thoughts anyway

If its auto the parking pawl , the bit that locks the output shaft to housing , may not be engaging .

Yep , it is a manual . The clutch has only been in about a year .
