Auto gearbox making noise

Hi guys.

I've been a member for a while but never needed to post as have always found the answers I've been looking for.

I have a ln130 surf 2.4 auto. Has always done me proud lately I've noticed a slight fluttering/clicking noise coming from the gearbox. I hear it in the cab coming up through the gear selector. Not sure if this is going to cause a problem in the future. I have the correct amount of ATF and its regularly changed. Is this the early signs of needing a new box? It seems to run fine. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

are you sure its not just something simple like a rattly bit of linkage:?

I'll have a look under there. Seems to be doing it at odd times. No relation to engine revs or driving speed
