No Over-drive 3.0 surf gen 2

Hi mate

How many litres of atf does one need. I read on here some people say 30😨 others say about 5 to 6. Don't need to do a total flush out do I because 30ltrs is about 190quid

I would drain the old ATF and measure what comes out. Probably it will be between 4 and 5 litres. There's a drain plug at the bottom of the auto box. Replace with the same amount of new ATF through the dipstick tube using a funnel and a thin length of pipe. Drive it around for few mins to recirculate and then repeat. Drive a few miles and repeat again. So 15 litres. Then see if it looks better, should be red. ATF is around £10 for 5 litres here.
If you don't get the overdrive back when the ATF is clean then your problem lies elsewhere.
