  • Question because my rear window

    Hello,

I (again) the problem that my rear windows can not be opened. The rear window is in the top position, but the window does not go on (down). When I press the switch on the console to close I hear clacking the relay, also is current on the cable that the engine goes on, but when press the switch to open the window, I hear no clack of Relay and no power is available at cables to the motor. Therefore, I think that my relay is broken! is that correct.

And now to my next question, you can bypass the relay, or open the window in a different way.

    thank you

      Hello,
the window lock on the driver's side is turned off (the rear windows go down) and the rear wiper is at the top, but the rear window is not open. Also heard no clacking of Relay's.
How can I open the window without the switch or the key now?

        did you check the fuses?
if non of that works, and you really want to open the window to check if all ok inside, you need to get inside the truck and start dismantling the door from inside, removing the material cover, holded by clips, then a metal cover holded by few screws, then you inside, remove 3 bolts of the mtor, then after removing the motor slide down the window, then you can open the door normally to check the rest.

Thus, the rear window was down and I have all the cables and fuses checked. Everything OK, so it can only be broken the Relay

Also check for broken wire/s where the cable enters the tailgate and inside the tailgate for breaks in the wiring and a continuity check might pull up a problem ..
