  • 3rd gen 4wd system question...

    As I'm sure that many of you will know, having a rear wheel drive truck with a stonking 3ltr diesel lump up front can be entertaining on damp roads.

    In damp conditions (not icy or snow), are you guys 'n' gals using 4wd without obviously the locking the diff?

    Yup occasionally..

    It helps when pulling out of T junctions especially....
    More Lift.
    More Tyres.
    More Engine.

      You're not wrong! Yesterday I was at a set of lights, slightly up hill and quite damp. Lights turned green and I accelerated... nothing but stationary wheel spin!

        Thats the problem with open differentials. LSD is always the choice personally. To be honest I'v not felt the need to 4x4 it on tarmac yet though I live in hope. I like a bit of opposite lock on the muddy bends myself. lol..
