  • Tyre size / pressure query...

    Hi all,

My new 3rd Gen is currently running on General Grabber AT 265-70-16.

    Coupla questions.

Is this a standard size? My 2nd Gen ran 15" and I expected this to be the same.

What pressures should I be running at (unladen), they seem quite low and wallow a bit around corners.

Although road legal, they're beyond their sell by date as an off road tyre so I'll be looking for a replacement soon, BFG AT probably as they offer great all-round performance and last for years!

I don't want to do any suspension mods, but I'm wondering what the best size I can get away with? I'll probably be doing 50/50 on and off road usage.

    Ta...

    2nd gen Surfs run 15" as standard eg; 31 x 10.50 x 15 or 265 x 70 or 75 x 15's. Personally I have run GG AT2's on 265 x 70 x 16 on Modular's the last eight years, no problem..

3rd gen Surfs run 16" wheels as standard n ya won't be able to fit 15" wheels as the Front disc's are larger

Are ya shocks or rear bushes shot ? Are the rear ARB bushes fubarred or has it been removed altogether?
I prefer to run my tyres at 28 -30 psi

I don't have a body or suspension lift n as previously stated run 265x70x16's
