  • Tyre pressures.

Can anyone tell me what tyre pressure I should be running in my 275/75R17 tyres. I have extreame off road tyres on 17" steel rims.

Currently I have 35psi but they look a bit flat and very noisy.

inflate to 100 psi & float across the "stream"

Or if you have extreme 17" off road tyres then I have no idea

Some tyres will be noisy regadless of pressure, because of the tread design. Google "4PSI rule" for info on tyre pressures.

That sounds like a good rule of thumb....to much heat is definitely bad.

Anyone tried it on a standard Surf, by way of calibration?

I followed Nev's advice a while back and with my average driving it figured out at 34 psi.
However since then I have different tyres and the trucks primary use now includes more motorway work, so I should really start again.

              Yep. 275/75 R17.

Got 2" lift springs on the rear.
I touché a bit but a little trim stopped it.
