  • transmision fluid leaking

hi all been a while. i have a transmision oil fluid leak on the surf its gen 3. looks like the pipe has split its at the lowest point where it comes out of the sump and upwards, i take it to the dip stick . i,ve put my fingers around both the part thats comes out of the sump and above the leak upto the dipstick. and its dry. can this pipe / tube be replaced if so anyone know where from. and will i need a new gasket that fits around the pipe? thanks in advance.

Hi John, the ATF dipstick tube is in 2 parts, the top can be replaced easily but as your referring to the lower half connected to the Sump, a new sump will be needed ... unless ya fabricate sommat, solder the culprit or make a temporary repair with rubber hose n clips

3 gen sumps n 2nd gen sumps are different .. Robert

hopefully looks like the chemical metal paste has done the trick, have to see how long it lasts.
