3.0 intercooler onto a mk2 3.0 ??

just wondering is it possible to fit an intercooler to the mk2 3.0 engine


not sure if it would be worth fitting or if any one has done it

a body lift is required, i have seen a few people do it.

im on the same boat! i know you will need the top cover of the engine with the intercooler, and longer cables for acelerator, not sure about ecu

You could fit a generic front mount intercooler and pipework widely available on ebay etc. These offer far better charge air cooling than a top mount. Not convinced of the need for a different ECU. Diesels don't need to measure the volume of intake air so no real need for a change of ECU settings although the extra density of the charge air will allow more fuel to be burned.
