    This one?

However if you are referring to the steering relay rod ?

Then you should not get charged for anything........

However Toyota Swindon who did mine gave me a quote for works they strongly recommend that I need to have done which was about £1500 worth if I remember .

I got a full valet and an advisory list on a few items, the total for the Toyota repairs with genuine parts was over £1200, I did all the bits in my own time for around £100.

If the relay rod is changed but your tie rods or something joined to it fall to pieces when they come out I would have thought was a chargeable extra as poor condition would be lack of maintenance and therefore not their fault?

I didn't have any hassle with mine, they picked it up from my work, did the job and brought it back.

All it cost was the fuel for their bloke to drive it there and back. I asked if it was going on a low loader so it didn't cost me fuel but they didn't have that facility.

They were concerned when they got it there as it's 4" suspension and 2" body lift which most of them had never seen before so I got a disclaimer phone call!

I'm sure if I pushed hard enough I could have gotten something for the fuel but, as it's a safety issue and I have 2 children under 3 (one would have been newborn at the time) I decided that delaying it's replacement was a bad idea.

They did hoover and wash it though, which was nice!
I've got a plan and it's as hot as my pants!
