3rd Gen sunroof help needed.

The sunroof on my truck is stuck shut! does anyone know how to free it off?
The motor seems to try to move it but it won't budge.
I don't want to damage it trying to move it the wrong way, do they go down a bit then back? and is there a manual overide?
