iol leak on driveshaft

Just bought a 1994 3.0 TD surf and noticed a leak on the front n/s driveshaft..is this a hard thing to fix? Thanks..

no not really. You can do it in place or drop the diff out and work on the bench.

Basically you need to get the shaft out of the diff. there is a spring clip inside the diff holding the shaft in. Just gentley lever the shaft outside of the diff and replace the seal.
