Another 4wd question but not the normal faults

I have seached hi and low through posts but i have a diffrent fault than the rest. Its a 2.4 ln130 Manual

The 4wd light works, front diff (add) system works fine and light on dash says 4wd is on, But i get no drive to the front prop!

If i jack up the rear and spin the front prop by hand (2wd mode selected)
i get a little movement on the rear prop and wheels as i think i should but not locked in .

With 4wd selected light is on and front adds kicks in fine but still if i spin the rear wheels no power to front prop like its not locking down.

So my questions are ? The transfer box 4wd selector moter the locks in the front prop in, can i remove it without the t/box oil coming out and push it in manual to see if it is the moter or the t/box

Would the light not flash if it wasnt locked in or something?
Ps I also get no light saying 4wd in 4L only if i push the button

Anyone got a wiring pin out for the moter 3pin plug and a 2pin i think?

Speedo also dosnt work but tested sender and i think its the dials this wouldnt affect the 4wd would it?

It's nigh on impossible to diagnose without actually being there, but one quick question... Have you got free wheel hubs?

no lock hubs

I have now gained alot of knowledge on 4wd system fitted to surf had control units open, wiring diagrams all over my desk and stripped motors and sensors

Turns out someone has been messing with it before and more than one issue but got there now just making up a custom loom now
