i,m putting a replacement engine into the surf and was wondering is it worth doing away with the a/c system what are the benefits/drawbacks of doing it .
is it also worth doing away with egr system ??? has anyone done it whats involved and again what are the benefits/drawbacks of removeing it .
this is my first ever surf i think its a gen 2 .
its a 2.4 manual on a L reg.

Do you like A/C or not?? Not much else to say. It does use more fuel and heats the engine up which will only cause problems in extreme conditions. The ERG stuff has been talked about endlessly on here so try the search button. Good luck.

I'd blank the EGR at the drop of a hat. But do away with the whole crossover pipe and you'll much more room and a cooler running No4 piston.

I like A/C personally, but the underneath rad on 2.4's is a PITA.
