After a bit of advice from others on here for not being able to get my 4WD light on the dash to come on, I had a play with the vacuum system.....
Pulled off the hose from the alternator - good vacuum from there.
Pulled the hose off the top of the engine - not so good.
Then tried leaving the hose from the plastic tee to the engine off and put a bit of tape over the end of the tee to close the vacuum system....
Instant success!
Didn't really want a spare hose hanging around in the engine bay, so ended up putting a bit of tape over the small nozzle on the top of the engine, then slid the pipe over it.
My question is - Do I need to worry about the fact that there is no vacuum from the nozzle on the top of the engine AND will blocking it, as I have done, cause any problems??
