  • 1994 Surf SRS-X: Is this normal?

    Yesterday I got a 1994 Hilux
    Surf SRS-X 3.0l with auto
    transmission and I have been
    noticing something today. The
car seems to be very hot, both
the engine and the interior. The temperature guage
    indicator is sitting at the
    middle. But the inside feels
    preety hot and the dashboard
and the metal on the gear
selector is quite hot (may be very hot). The electric fan
doesn't seem to work. Do you
have any suggestions. What should I check?
(Radiator and coolant liquids seem to be fine.)

They do run quite hot, around 90 degrees is normal & the transmission tunnel is not a good place to put chocolate bars.
I would get your fan checked out though because it should cut in when temperature's get near boiling point & at a guess I would say the weather is a little warm where you are.
If its not broke don't fix it.
