Hopefully someone may have seen this before.
Just recently bought 1995 surf KZN130 3.0 SSRX and started to replace front nearside wheel bearings,bronze bushes and outer CV joint.I fitted new CV joint to original inner shaft and after fitting back onto vehicle I noticed that on turning the hub, the driveshaft was hard to turn(ie too long) in a certain place.I removed it and compared it to the old one,it was different in that the new cv had a groove for the snap ring thus only letting it go onto the shaft so far and not all way on upto collar.the old cv joint does not have this groove and the snap ring must go all the way into the cv cage.
Has anybody had this before?
