Jeep parts won't work on a Toyota.

And how come the fullstop button works between a 2 and a 4 but not at the end of your posts?

It just irritates the old folk if you don't use punctation!

As for calling your Truck a Jeep it's not a Jeep - It's a Toyota Hilux Surf.

Jeep is a make - It's the same as me saying I need a part for my Surf and my local breaker has a couple of Land Rovers.

I'm not trying to be funny I'm trying to help. People just prefer post to be correct in iformation (and possibly grammaticaly)

By the way getting ar$ey with the experts really won't help. just advice whether you take it is up to you.

If you need help with your Jeep, why are you asking for it on a TOYOTA Surf website?

No puctuation is just lazyness, thats why you're only getting limited help, if you can't be bothered, why should we?

ok then i will use full stops and so on, but could somone send me in the right direction as far as these parts from the 2.4 fitting my 3.0?

i got rid of a 90 200tdi for this surf but would of rather put up with the uncomfortable old landy than have this fault!

First up I agree with Vince about punctuation etc. It is annoying if not used.

TPS is on the throtle body. Look at the manual. Here's something on the TPS but check the manual anyway, as I can't remember if this also applies to the 3Ltr TPS.

ps: Did you check the belt?

They all have part numbers on them, just check they are the same. Can tell you number of a 2.4 one to comapre to yours (but not at 2:30am, you'll have to wait till tomorrow!)

Physically they look the same, but no guarentee they give the same reading, although I'd be suprised if they are different.

(and you WILL get some peoples back up calling it a Jeep!! Its a board pet hate along with hard to read posts. )

I havn't had time to do anything again due to parental duties, but on monday i will spend the day checking the belt and will go to scrap yard to check if those part numbers are the same on the 2.4 surf.

I reckon plugging it in and trying it wont hurt either?

Thanks for the help and advice, i will let you know how i get on on monday!

89452-12040 for the 2.4 TPS and 89452-22090 for the 3Ltr so they are different.
