EGR blanking

Going to be blanking my EGR off using plates, my question is.

If i'm keeping the whole egr fitted and blanking using the plates do i need to do both ends or just blank off say the exhaust end?

Thanks mate, think that cleared it up, off to knock some up out of 3mm plate now
