  • Newbie Question

Hi folks, I am the proud owner of a 96 3.0 ssr-x, love it great motor wish i had bought one years ago.

I have a wee question, how easy is it to replace the ATF in these, as it is needing changed.

Also how much does the box hold in total?

You won't get it all out doing it charvell's way but it is the easiest way to do it.
I do it that way & after a couple of thousand km I do it again.
If its not broke don't fix it.

                Oh dear

                Folks

Cheers for all the advice, Prior to me going to change the fluid, the box started sticking in first gear, and eventually changing up through the gears........

I dropped out about 3 litres and refilled, but to no avail...

So now I have an issue..... what model of box do I need to replace this one? Do any 3.0 td auto boxes fit, or do they have to be a specific year?

I want to get a box as a precaution, I have booked it in to Toyota for clean and fill next week, but am not holding my breath

Any siggestion what I could be looking at to get the box fitted to work, There is no noise from it, and sometimes it works some times it does not....
