  • 91 Turbo Diesel - Power Steering Vibration

Can anyone help ? my LN130 import drives and steers ok when on the move, but when stationary you get severe vibration when you try and turn the steering wheel, ie when manoeuvring whilst parking etc.

..... or a combination of this and a loose bolt. The pivot bolt that mounts the pump to the bracket, is known to come loose (happened to me recently) and tightening the belt just puts more strain on this and can damage the bolt, because the pump moves around.

The belt needs to be tighter than you think (and tighter than the manual says). Also if the belt is worn, it may not be sitting correctly in the pulley.
