Help techo not working, car blowing losts of diesle out exhaust

SIZE="5"][/SIZE]Hi guys, ok heres what i've done, i have a 91 hilux surf,
recon'd turbo, new head gasket and timing belt, these are done properly, and the head had an immissions test and imspected by a diesle fitter.however now my hilux will not get up to 60kms an hour and it smokes like a chimny, the tacho has gone all the way around the dial and is pointing at 6 o'clock, i have heard that these tacho's run off the fuel pump, i did see a couple of bare wires on my fuel pump that maybe couldv'e shorted something out, i have no idea of the plugs but this is a round plug not the 2 that plug directly into the pump please help so i can drive my car lol heres a of my pump. the cylinder plug that runs across on the front of the pump is the one with the bared wires
UPDATE... ok these valves under the intake manifold above the starter motor that i have taken some pics of for you all..i broke the little nossles off the big brown one and glued them back on, is it possible when i glued them back on that i couldve blocked them off? and would this cause the smoke.?. do these ERG(I think thats what they are) valves effect the turbo?

We might be more helpfull if you are. Take some pics as suggested. Why was the head gasket replaced? Are you sure the head was not cracked? What the hell is an emissions test on the head? Who fittied the head and timing belt and is the timing correct?

pics are coming man i had the head off as originally there was alot of smoke and me not knowing any thing about turbos or diesles was trouble shooting...as it turns out the turbo was stuffed but by that time i had the head off looking for a glazed bore as the motor is relativly new(about 30000k since reco). the head gasket and timing belt was done by a diesel mechanic and he also cleaned and inspected the head. there was an immissions test and also a compression test done on the head and i cant tell you what a emmissions test is..thats what the mechanics said they did along with a compression test.

Maybe the emissions test was for combustion gasses in the cooling system. These don't always work on a diesel. A compression test will not detect a cracked head either. Was there any signs of excess pressure in the cooling system? Can't tell you much more at the moment other than make sure the timing is right and fix those wires.

yea again nev not really sure, the timing has been checked and rechecked and the motor itself runs very nicely man, there was and issure with oil coming out thru the rocker cover and thru the breather into the intake of the turbo however i had that cleaned by the turbo guy and he said it was filthy and that the blockages caused that and now there is no oil comming thru that outlet. what i was worried about with the wires was it maybe burning something out in the computer and i was also trying to find out which of those plugs is the tacho..i do think that those two are the key to working out the problem.

On your pics there's a hose off, these are vacuumn pipes to do with the egr or shutdown, so I'd have a look for the missing end. You also need them connected the right way. If its a 2.4 I cant help you as theyr'e different from my 3.0l but Nev will probably be back once he's out of bed, he's in your neck of the woods. H

If you glued them then they may be blocked. Take a look at the above links as the EGR valve one can be blocked anyway.

None ot the VSVs are directly associated with turbo operation.

I'll see if I can sort out your problem when I have more time to look.
