  • Aircon pump noise

    Hi,

Had my aircon re-gassed a few weeks back so have been using it for the first time in a long while. With the aircon off I notice a noise coming from the pump that sounds like warn bearings.
Is it possible to replace these, or has anyone any other idea as to what it may be?

Aircon works like a charm, but the noise from the pump doesn't sound too good.

    Thanks.

Probably just dry bearings. Try a squirt of WD40 behind the pulley when it's running.

Gave it a good old squirt of wd40, but it still makes a worrying noise. I’ve taken the belt off currently so it’s not in use.

Has anyone serviced one before, or is it a replacement unit I should be after? What's the deal with taking off the pipes when it comes to the aircon gas?

This is the bit making the noise I'll take it off over the weekend and see what's what. That price made me gulp a bit...
