  • Rear Propshaft UJs

I fitted new UJs to my spare propshaft yesterday, but have a wee question for those who've done them before.

Having never changed UJs on anything as small as a surf, I'm not sure how tight the bearing caps should have been in the yokes, they were feckin tight to get out, but went back in very, very easily, is that normal?

The UJs were Blurprint by the way.

I've found they are often like that. I've even had to grind through the middle of the UJ to get them apart and knock them inwards to remove them if they are very grubby, I always clean them out and the caps normally go in with a gentle tap after.

As long as they aren't actually loose in the yokes, I wouldn't worry, they will only wear if they can actually move.
