Put £20 of petrol in my Deisel Surf

Hi All,

I have an (L) plate 3.0 TD SSRG.

About 2-3 weeks ago i stupidly put £20 of Petrol in the tank. I relised what i did, and put £30 of Deisel in.
We then ran it for about half an hour until it lost power and started ticking over rough.
We limped it to a garage and completely filled it up with deisel.
It seemed to run fine. We topped it up a couple of times with Deisel.
Then after running it down to the light coming on, we put £10 of deisel in. Then the other day. it cut out and would fire up.
We got it towed back and we put a further £25 of Deisel in.
It still wont fire up.
I have swapped out the fuel filter, but i am not over mechanically minded so not sure what to do next? Shall i drain the tank? i cant see there being much petrol left in it as the light had come on.
Have i done my truck in??

Any help would be great!! Really worried!!

Sounds like the petrol wash has dislodged some crap in the tank which has been sucked into the fuel lines between the fuel filter and tank, try blowing through these to clear it. I'm sure someone here has done the same before without any disatrous effects and it does sound to me like fuel starvation so I'd be trying to clear the lines first. H
