If getting a baby seat to fit becomes an insurmountable problem, you could always consider adoption.

I had the same problem, had to mess with the car seat angle and ended up putting some padding under it to level out the angle of the seat
The sh$t gets deeper ...but still swimming

Have you treid opening the door first?
if so then try a seat padded base Halfruads sell them, they are non-slip and stop the bubby seat from spinning out of the seatbelt.

                    What's an adoption crack?
Do you know that, with a 50 character limit, it's

What's the make and model of the seat and I'll compare it either of mine.
I've got a plan and it's as hot as my pants!

I had some bother with kids seats a few years ago, had the surf and an old mondeo. I found a local independent shop were much more helpful rather than the big chain stores who wouldn't fit a seat if the car type wasn't on their computer database!!

The local shop actually took a seat and tried it in the car and then found me one that would fit ok rather than the "computer says no" response....

i'll get the model of mine for you as well!
