Windscreen wiper linkage

Hi folks, After sourcing a new front wiper motor and linkage from stormforce (cheers boss, turns out the motor is fine but it won't hurt to have a spare handy) I am a bit of a loss as to how to get access to the old one to replace it (the loop on the end of the linkage that connects to the motor is badly fatigued and has burst open). I had a search on here and found a similar request but unfortunately it was unanswered. I have a max ellery manual but to be honest i'd be better looking through the beano for answers as it is s**te. So the question is how do I get the old one out?

Any help or pointers would be greatly appreciated.

Remove the grille section at the base of the windscreen.

Many thanks for the speedy response, I had my suspicions that it might be that but wanted to make sure before I started pulling the old girl to bits.
