  • Rear window rubber seal.

Is Toyota my only bet on finding a new rubber seal set for the rear window?
If i dont have the radio on i can hear road noise comming in from the rear window and i just thought its about time i sort it out.
Its water tight but not very air tight anymore so lets the sound in more.
Does it just peel off and the new one slides on? Or is there more to replacing it?
    Windows 7 was my idea!

Do you mean the strip along the bottom?

If so, it's held on with plastic clips that secure to the tailgate just in front of (or behind, I suppose) the window. I removed mine the other day and it wasn't too difficult - be careful not to break any of the clips, though, as replacing them looks like a pretty tricky job.

    Cheers.

Hello mate. No i mean the whole trim that goes around all the edges. The bit of rubber that the window sits in when its closed. It doesnt seem to be a tight fit anymore.
Im sure this is commom on a lot of surf so was wondering if people had replaced this?

They're only about £30 all in from Toyota, and any off a breaker is likely to be in similar condition, so that's probably the best route to go.
