Toyota Hilux surf 4x4 problem HELP!?

I have a 1992 toyota hilux surf 4x4 and when I engage four wheel drive in high gear the right hand rear wheel seems to jerk and jam in rotation but it is fine in normal rear wheel drive. Any solutions or details on my problem will be greatly appreciated.

Wow, I'm surprised no one has answered you. It sounds like your problem is in the transfer case. Or maybe you are on the gas too hard when you engage 4wd. From now on I would totally stop or be going very slow when sticking it in 4wd. Even though I could probably get away with it I always let off the gas and take it real easy when going in or out of 4wd.

If it's jerking like that, you're using 4wd on non slippery roads, never ever do that with a 2nd gen Surf.

Another thing to check is, are the tyres all the same size?
